Following a full redesign to usher in the fourth-generation Equinox last year, Chevrolet has made small but significant improvements for 2026. Engine Performance, Efficiency, and Driving Dynamics
Previously reserved for the higher trim levels, Chevrolet adds its drive mode selector to the 2026 Equinox LT. This is a real plus for Olympia drivers, allowing them to switch between Normal and Snow/Ice modes depending on the weather. If you have a vehicle with AWD, you can also make use of the Off-Road drive mode for enhanced stability on uneven terrain.
Features and Cabin Comfort
The Equinox's drive mode selector sits in front of the center console, where the LT previously had a storage cubby. While that space is gone, there are still plenty of places to stash your phone and other small items in the 2026 Chevy Equinox interior.
If you want roof racks for hauling kayaks to Woodard Bay and ski gear to White Pass, you won't find them in the LT's Convenience II package. Instead, they're bundled with an optional sunroof, which opens up the 2026 Equinox interior and makes it feel lighter and more spacious. There are also black roof rails in the Midnight Edition package.
Chevrolet has also made a minor change to the 2026 Equinox colors. It has dropped the Iridescent Pearl Tricoat exterior paint, but you can get a similar look with the new Polar White Tricoat paint.
Advanced Technology and Connectivity
High-tech Equinox features are unchanged for 2026, but its 11.3-inch infotainment display and 11-inch digital gauge cluster are already among the largest for entry-level SUVs. Chevrolet's Google-based interface lets you easily access Google Maps for turn-by-turn navigation and a Wi-Fi hotspot. You can also wirelessly connect the system to your smartphone with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, or both.

The 2026 Equinox retains the same three trims Chevy offered in 2025. The 2026 Chevy Equinox LT is the entry-level option, an affordable choice that delivers everything you really need. The MSRP of Chevy Equinox models has increased slightly this year in line with inflation. The LT model starts at $30,495, while the ACTIV and RS both start at $35,395.
