Chevrolet has refreshed the Trax's exterior paint options for 2026, adding White Sands and Apex Red to the lineup. These new hues replace Crimson Metallic and Nitro Yellow Metallic. They add a fresh look to the Trax's futuristic body, which remains unchanged from 2025.
Engine Performance and Powertrain
The 2026 Chevrolet Trax retains its turbocharged 1.2-liter inline three-cylinder engine. While you won't be winning any drag races with this 137-hp motor, it's all you really need for getting around Olympia's city streets. The traditional six-speed automatic transmission offers smoother shifting than many of the cutting-edge CVT systems you'll find in its rivals.
Chevrolet Trax Interior Features
Chevrolet has streamlined some of the Trax's packages and optional features for 2026. Both the Winter/Summer Mat Package and optional premium carpeted floor mats have been deleted, but there are still plenty of similar aftermarket options available to help you protect your cabin floor from mud and winter snow damage. You'll also need to look for aftermarket alternatives if you're interested in the optional cargo area organizer or highway safety kit, as these have also been removed.
